FHA DPA Losses Could Exceed $13 Billion

In its annual report to Congress, the Federal Housing Administration said loans involving seller-financed down-payment assistance have resulted in $6.6 billion in claims so far. The Federal Housing Administration reported that it endorsed 10 percent fewer loans during fiscal-year 2010 than in fiscal-year 2009.
