San Francisco, CA, United States (AHN) – Police found missing 12-year-old Salem girl Britanny Smith unharmed and her alleged abductor in San Francisco on Sunday ending an Amber Alert issued in Virginia a week ago.

A police tipster saw Smith and Scott Easley, 22, her mother’s boyfriend, at a convenience store in San Francisco.

Responding police found the two near a tent near the said store. Easley did not resist arrest and was taken into custody pending his extradition to Virginia to face charges of killing Smith’s mother, illegal use of the victim’s credit card and abduction.

Roanoke County, Va., Police Chief Ray Lavinder told reporters Smith had talked to her family and would be picked up soon in San Francisco.

On Dec. 6, an Ambert Alert was issued by Virginia authorities after finding Smith’s mom dead at their home and the girl missing.
